Floating high in the air
Those proud battlements
Burnished walls
Chivalrous Knights
Bright armor gleaming
Gallantly confronting evil
Riding forth form the golden gates
Beautiful Ladies waiting
Watching from glistening spires
Adorned with colorful banners flying free
The splendor and majesty
Magic and mystery
Lost brilliant hope
One moment solid and substantial
The next gossamer wisps of cloud
Fading away into streaks in the sky
Is it a dream, is it imagination
Or is it a longing deep in our hearts and souls?
Rekindled within each generation
